As a side project next to the other panorama projects, the Dutch artist Ronald Huynen attended a workshop about geographical exploration in the Italian province of Brianza. Ronald Huynen was one of the sixteen international artists than were selected to participate.This five-day workshop, organized by the cultural association Areaodeon in Monza, was led by the Italian architect group A12.
For his research Ronald Huynen wanted to use extreme wide drawings as a medium to playfully explore a ‘time based landscape’. He decided to speed draw the urbanized landscape of Brianza while traveling by train.
During my stay in Monza I became interested in how to draw speed, rhythm and the music of the fast moving landscape between Monza and Lecco.
